Dr. Anneliese Willems completed her medical training at Monash University and has since established herself as a respected figure in the field of primary care dermatology and education.

Dr Anneliese Willems divides her time between general practice, education, and academia, where she is a well-regarded figure in primary care dermatology and medical education. Since 2015, she has been actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and currently serves as a Senior Lecturer in Primary Care Dermatology at the University of Melbourne. With over 30 peer-reviewed publications, Anneliese is deeply engaged in dermatology and education research.

Anneliese is a member of the RACGP Special Interest Group in Dermatology and was among the first 10 GPs in Australia to receive recognition for Extended Skills in Dermatology by the RACGP. She also co-hosted Seasons 3 and 4 of the dermatology education podcast Spot Diagnosis and represents general practitioners on several expert advisory boards focused on optimizing dermatology care in primary settings.

Her clinical interests include managing a wide range of dermatological conditions, such as skin cancer surveillance and treatment, inflammatory skin diseases (e.g., eczema, rosacea), hair loss disorders, infectious skin conditions (e.g., bacterial and fungal infections, warts, and molluscum contagiosum), and women’s health dermatology (e.g., vulvar skin disorders). In addition to her dermatology focus, Anneliese enjoys treating a broad spectrum of general practice presentations and works with patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Dr. Kyal is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and a proud lifelong Melburnian.

With a broad range of interests spanning General Medicine, mental health, Pregnancy, Fertility, sexual health and Travel Medicine, she is passionate about helping her patients make informed choices through a collaborative, shared decision-making approach.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Kyal is an animal lover, especially when it comes to dogs—she can often be spotted pausing to give a pooch a cuddle.

A dedicated traveler, she enjoys immersing herself in different cultures and meeting new people along the way.

Dr Kyal speaks Hindi fluently and is currently taking new patients.

Dr Sameera Bhayat is an Australian GP who strives to provide her patients with the highest level of care. She has worked in General Practice for over 12 years and enjoys all aspects of General Practice including general medicine and preventative care.

Dr Sameera especially enjoys working with women, children and families. She has additional training in women’s health and can provide contraceptive advice, cervical screening and discuss pregnancy planning and early management. Additionally, she enjoys caring for new mums, providing breastfeeding advice and supporting them with any challenges they may be experiencing.

Dr Sameera has completed a Diploma in Child Health and enjoys all aspects of caring for babies, children and adolescents. She also has experience working in medical education and is an examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr Sameera will be working at the clinic on Mondays and Thursdays.

Nabil graduated from James Cook University and attained his RACGP fellowship in 2022. He has completed placements through-out Far North Queensland and Royal Perth Hospital before settling in Melbourne.

He enjoys all aspects of general practice, with interests in preventative medicine, general medicine, paediatrics, mental health and men’s health.

Away from work, Nabil spends his time playing basketball, traveling and enjoying delicious cuisines of the world.

Dr Erin Batman brings with her a wealth of GP experience, empathy and a real passion for patient satisfaction.

Dr Erin is a fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

She studied at The University of Queensland, graduating in 2010. 2011 to 2013 was spent working as a junior doctor at the Princess Alexandria Hospital, training in dermatology & pediatrics among others.

An avid traveler, having visited over 90 countries across the world, she is open-minded, empathetic and has a patient-oriented approach to practicing.

Dr Erin enjoys the diversity of General Practice and has special interest in women & children’s health, sexual health and skin cancer medicine. Dr Erin is also S100 certified.

Erin is great for a chat on any topic and will be at the clinic on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

General Practitioner, MB BCh BAO, MPH-HE, FRACGP

Originally from the UK, Dr Luke studied medicine at Trinity College Dublin before moving to Australia over 10 years ago. Since then, he has worked across a variety of healthcare settings in Western Australia and Victoria, attaining Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2023.

Dr Luke enjoys all aspects of general practice and values the opportunity to care for people across all stages of life. He has particular interests in sexual, reproductive and LGBTQIA+ health, and has completed the FPAA National Certificate in Reproductive and Sexual Health. He provides Implanon and intrauterine device (IUD) insertions and removals, and is accredited to prescribe HIV medications as an S100 prescriber.

In addition to his work in general practice, Dr Luke has experience in addiction medicine, aged care and palliative care, and is a voluntary assisted dying (VAD) practitioner. He also works in Indigenous health and as a clinical writer for HealthPathways Melbourne, helping develop evidence-based resources for GPs across the region.

Dr Luke is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive and judgement-free environment where patients feel comfortable discussing any health concern. He understands that seeing a doctor can sometimes feel daunting, and aims to put people at ease with a warm, down-to-earth approach and a touch of humour when appropriate.

Outside of work, Dr Luke is an avid cook and baker, a voracious reader, and enjoys exploring Melbourne’s food scene. When he’s not working, you’ll likely find him eating his way around the inner north or spending time with his husband and their puppy.

Meet Sharn Thomas-Sims, our well-versed registered nurse!

A master of the nursing profession since her beginning in 2003, graduating from university in Queensland. Sharn is our fabulously experienced in-house nurse. The skills Sharn has gained from working across a variety of healthcare environments is demonstrated in her expert delivery of the very best patient care.

Sharn is especially interested in wound management, immunisation and the LGBTQIA+ community.

Outside of nursing, Sharn relaxes with Lego, games and with friends and family.
